This figure is not a mere ornament; its beak ritually covers the stuccoed and painted face of a male individual, a probable portrait of the principal figure interred in the tomb.

          The photos make it look like a movie set. It doesn’t look anywhere near 1400 years old. They must have been so excited to find a place like this.
