Or it is poorly documented. Like what, you think you’ve made a quantum kind of software that is so special you felt you didn’t need to jot any notes down of it?

It works out of the box - if you do nothing at all to it and just browse.
But to do anything like getting all of your favorite programs, that’s going to take effort.

I would hate to die knowing I’ve never once met a friend outside of where I live. Some of my best friends, were actually ones I met online who are a bit of a ways away. If I can even see them once or twice in my lifetime, I’ll be good.
But the reason traveling is such a big deal because, well, would you feel content being in the same spot for all of your life? I wouldn’t.
A lot of 7th gen games did great with that kind of space.
We need politics to be boring again.
I’m tired of living in “interesting” times. Because whats interesting, is detrimental to everyone equally aside those benefiting.
Ceased in 2024 officially.
No thrift store will ever be short of DVDs.
However, finding the ones you actually want i.e released in stores who still bother with DVDs, gonna have some patience.
That’s why you get a media server, do all of the pirating you’ve done years prior and get software that’ll load up all of those shows and movies by a click of a button. Nobody has time these days fumbling around with that shit.
Every generation of people will be nostalgic for the period they’ve grown up in.
I’ve grown up in the 90s and 00s, so there are things in those decades that I hold dearly or will have a bias towards.
People born in the '10s will have theirs, people born in the 50s .etc
We took the world as it was in our times and some of us can admit that the world was never perfect, we just found what gems we did find through it all.
We later saw what Mojang did with Minecraft. Soon as Microsoft opened up its billions, it was hard to resist the offer. Notch has to be some of the most undeserving individuals to have been made rich from, given from how he has acted since Mojang sold to Microsoft.
Well, yeah. There’s a meme I actually saw that demonstrates how developers were back then compared to now. Developers back then, really did care about how to make a game at its best with like…2MB of cache or very little video memory or what little of bits they had to work with.
Today and for a while, with technology as to where it is at where sky is virtually the limit, we’ve got games that are so poorly optimized, it makes you wonder.
I think the covid thing happening was their excuse to seize doing that. They were 24/7 right around that period. But I could also see other reasons why they stopped. I mean, overnights were poorly staffed and it’s wal-mart, everyone is going to be getting away with tons of shit like stealing and customers getting rowdy.
Personally, as an overnight worker, I’m glad it ended. I miss being able to shop peacefully but, better safe than convenient.

Time and patience. Maybe a little risky advertising by going to other platforms and saying how your instance exists.

Just like preserving video games, since the video game companies only do it if it means to make another buck off of cheap nostalgic grab, we have to archive them.
If we don’t, then they will certainly be lost and we’ll have endless discussions of what-about their existences.

I don’t torrent, but I usually do DDLs. Some of them will require premium accounts for better speeds of course. Other times you’re relegated to just slow agonizing speeds that brings you back to those lovely days of Dial-Up!

Be a parent. If you’re going to fuck and have children, you need to be prepared for the responsibilities ahead. Stop trying to automate it by dumping those responsibilities onto others.

Rule 6
Knock it off. No politics

Spotify gives me 30 minutes of ad-free listening time. They even allow limitless skipping which used to be barred by subscribing. It’s absolutely absurd and asinine that you would limit all songs to 30 seconds unless you’ve paid. That’s how you not get people to pay your shitty service.
If I’m preferring to deal with ads between a handful of songs at a time than having their songs cut down to 30 seconds, they can eat shit. Who the fuck does that?

We should already be a quarter of the way into this by now.
We’re not because we have corrupt dinosaurs holding us back from it.
I fucking hate that word ‘Innovation’. It is spammed by corporatebros who think their shit doesn’t smell.
