No way they put PragerU propaganda videos convincing that Israel is not an apartheid state.

I was almost done writing my blog post addressing the same issue! I’ll give this a read to make sure I don’t re-say anything you did. The state site generator I use (Hugo) also looks very similar to yours lol.

I’m not arguing semantics. “The left” and “authoritarianism” are different things. No one said anything about Democrats or Republicans. You are arguing that this is a problem with “the left”. If you want to argue that this is a problem with Democrats or with authoritarianism in the either party specifically, that’s a separate topic–one that I agree with.

What do you mean “the left”? The farther left you go, the more people see firearms as important for the people to fight oppression. Karl Marx—pretty much as far left as you can go—was very adament about wokers owning guns.
I think you are trying to refer to authoritarians.
“We will educate the people first and then we shall conduct a vote again. They clearly don’t know what is in their best interest.”
Decades pass
“TO THE GULAG!!”

It sounds like your problem is with capitalism and not AI and automation. You don’t like the extra productivity going towards private institutions rather than the workers they displaced or society as a whole, right?

Try docker compose rather than locally if you are struggling.

ChromeOS or Linux Mint

If you change to different centralized payment systems, they will eventually devolve into oligopolies/monopoly as well. In order to make a final solution that works forever, you need a free/open protocol like GNU_Taler

I think Bitcoin was a good proof of concept that this system can work and scale. Ethereum is trying to be the viable option. I personally like Monero. I am sure in a hundred years or so if crypto is still here, it will be more viable and stable.

Oh I thought you meant Epstein uses fish.

TIL I am unintentionally boycotting

Source? I’ve seen the bash reference manual in the files

Interesting. I’ve never had any of these issues. It might be because I use a tiling window manager (shoutout Aerospace) instead of Apple’s own window manager. Also, I’ve never really done any development on the mac itself. I just SSH into my Arch Linux server. MacOS is just a frontend to my browser and terminal basically lol. I don’t really care about my laptop’s OS since it’s just a frontend for my server. I just bought whichever laptop was sexiest.

Source? I see the repo as MIT licensed so I don’t see why forking it and hosting our own instance would be a problem.

Its FOSS (or I guess FLOSS for this case since they are French lol), meaning it doesn’t matter if the people creating the app are “good” or “bad” actors. A “good” actor can always create a fork or host their own instance.

They don’t because they are not allowed to. Valve makes game developers sign a contract that if they want their game on Valve, they cannot put it at a lower price on any other store.

What is wrong with Mac? I find macOS to be very clean and nice. I find it similar to KDE Plasma.
I am seeing from these comments that my proposed solution was pretty naïve. I intended this blog post to be a sort of thought experiment to challenge assumptions made about the web pre-AI rather than my thought up technical solution to be the main focus.
I might go back and re-write some of this post to gear the focus more towards my main points of the social contract between bot and human shifting (especially with copyleft/ShareAlike), the web becoming less “open”, how this is not a new idea since the DMCA already considers standards for automated access, etc.
